Terms of service
Version 1.0 · Last updated 20 September 2026
The short version
- Peil reads a chart and describes what it sees. It is not financial advice, it does not know your situation, and it never trades. Every decision is yours.
- An AI estimates a chart from an image. It can be wrong, and sounding sure does not make it right.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You cancel online, in your account, in a minute.
- You have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase, with a button on this site: Withdrawal and refunds.
- Nothing in these terms takes away rights the law of your country gives you as a consumer.
This summary is for convenience. The full text below is what applies.

2. What Peil is, and is not
Peil is software for technical chart analysis. On a TradingView chart that you open, it sends an image of the chart area to an AI model and draws the result on your chart: market structure, zones, and a scenario with an entry, stop and target level. Plain code then re-checks what can be re-checked, such as the risk/reward ratio after fees, and shows where the read is weak.
Not advice. Peil gives no investment advice, no personal recommendation and no signals to follow. It does not know your financial situation, your goals, your experience, your positions or how much you can afford to lose, and it does not take them into account. Anyone looking at the same chart at the same moment gets the same kind of read.
Never trades. Peil has no connection to a broker or exchange and cannot place, change or close an order.
Can be wrong. An AI model estimates candles and levels from an image. Reads can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date by the time you see them. A level on your chart is a scenario generated by software, not a prediction and not an instruction.
Your decision, your risk. Trading crypto-assets, leveraged products and other financial instruments is risky and you can lose all the money you put in. Examples and scenarios are illustrations; past price behaviour says nothing reliable about the future. If you need advice, ask a licensed adviser.
To use Peil you need a Chromium-based desktop browser (such as Chrome, Edge, Brave or Arc), an internet connection and a TradingView chart; a free TradingView plan is enough. Peil depends on how TradingView’s website works and on the AI models of our provider. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by TradingView, and you remain bound by TradingView’s own terms.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You log in with a one-time code sent to your email address. Keep access to that mailbox to yourself; what happens through your account counts as done by you.
- An account is for one person. Do not share or resell it.
- Give us a working email address. We use it for login codes, receipts and notices about your subscription or these terms.
4. Credits
- Each live read costs credits. The cost per read is shown on the pricing section; today it is 1 credit. If a read fails on our side, the credits come back automatically.
- Trial credits. A new account gets a small number of free credits to try Peil. One trial per person. The trial is a separate, free agreement; it does not turn into a paid plan by itself.
- Subscription credits. A subscription gives you 2,000 credits for every month of the subscription, on a monthly or a yearly plan alike. Unused subscription credits do not roll over to the next month and lapse when the subscription ends.
- Extra credits. Credit packs are a one-off purchase that you can make while you have an active subscription. They are used after your subscription credits and stay available for as long as you have an account.
- Credits are not money. They cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred, except where you are entitled to a refund under these terms or the law.
- To keep the service stable for everyone there is a limit on the number of reads per hour, shown in the extension when you reach it.
5. Prices and payment
- The price, the billing period and the currency are shown before you pay. Prices on our website exclude tax. Where tax applies, such as VAT for customers in the EU, we add it at checkout at the rate of your country. The amount shown there, before you pay, is the total price per billing period, including VAT and other taxes.
- Payment is handled by Stripe. A subscription is charged in advance for each period, to the payment method you chose. We send an invoice or receipt for each payment by email.
- If a payment fails we will tell you and try again. If it keeps failing, the subscription ends and the plan returns to free; credits you bought separately remain.
- Launch price. If you subscribed at a price presented as a launch price, that price stays yours for as long as that subscription continues without interruption. It ends if the subscription ends.
6. Renewal and cancelling
- Monthly plan. Runs for an indefinite time and renews every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; it then stops at the end of the month you paid for and you keep access until then.
- Yearly plan. The first term is 12 months. It then renews for a further 12 months at a time until you cancel. We email you a reminder before a yearly plan renews. If you cancel during the first year, the plan stops at the end of that year. After the first renewal, consumers can cancel at any time with effect no later than one month later, and we refund the part of the year you paid for but will not use.
- How to cancel. Online, the same way you subscribed: in the extension, open Settings, then “Manage subscription”, which opens the Stripe customer portal. You can also email us. No phone call, no reasons needed.
- Cancelling is different from withdrawing within 14 days of a purchase. For that, see the next section.
7. Right of withdrawal
If you buy as a consumer you can withdraw from a purchase within 14 days, without giving a reason. The full instructions, the online withdrawal function and the model form are on Withdrawal and refunds. In short:
- The 14 days start on the day you buy a subscription or a credit pack. They apply once per purchase, not to each renewal.
- At checkout you ask us to start the service immediately. If you then withdraw, you pay only for the part we already provided: for a subscription, the days that have passed out of the period you paid for; for a credit pack, the credits you used. We refund the rest within 14 days.
- You lose the right of withdrawal only when the service has been fully performed, for example when every credit of a pack has been used.
8. Your legal guarantee
Consumers in the EU have a legal guarantee that a digital service is what was agreed and what you may reasonably expect of it, for the whole period of the subscription. That includes the updates needed to keep Peil working, including security updates, which we provide through the Chrome Web Store at no extra cost. If Peil does not conform, tell us: we will put it right within a reasonable time and free of charge. If we cannot, you are entitled to a fair price reduction or, unless the problem is minor, to end the contract and receive a refund. These rights come from the law; nothing in these terms limits them.
What you may expect follows from what Peil is (section 2): software that produces an AI-generated read of a chart. A read that turns out wrong about the market is not a defect. Peil not working as described is.
9. Changes to Peil or these terms
- The service. We may change Peil to improve the analysis, to follow changes in TradingView, browsers or AI models, for security, or to meet legal requirements. Changes cost you nothing extra and we announce meaningful ones in the extension or by email. If a change makes Peil noticeably worse for you, we tell you in advance and you may end your subscription free of charge within 30 days of the notice or of the change, whichever is later, with a refund of what you paid for the time after that.
- Prices. A price change for an existing subscription takes effect no sooner than the next renewal, and we email you at least 30 days before. If you do not agree, cancel before it takes effect. Launch prices are covered by section 5.
- These terms. We may update these terms for the reasons above or to make them clearer. We email you at least 30 days before a change that affects your rights, and you may cancel before it applies. Earlier versions are available on request.
10. Fair use
Do not:
- use Peil through scripts, bots or anything other than the extension, or try to get around credits or limits;
- probe, overload or reverse engineer the service, except where the law gives you that right;
- resell Peil’s output as a signal service or present it to others as advice from us;
- use Peil to break the law or TradingView’s terms.
11. Ownership
Peil, its software and its texts are ours or our licensors’. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them for as long as you have an account. The reads Peil produces are yours to use for your own analysis; you may share screenshots as long as you do not present them as advice from us. Charts and trademarks of TradingView belong to TradingView.
12. Liability
- We are responsible for providing Peil with reasonable care and as described. We are not responsible for your trading decisions or their results: you make them yourself, and Peil is one input that can be wrong (section 2).
- Where we are liable, our total liability for all claims in a period of 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, with a minimum of €100.
- This limit does not apply to damage caused by our intent or deliberate recklessness, to death or personal injury, to your rights under the legal guarantee (section 8), or to anything else for which the law does not allow liability to be limited.
- We are not liable for failures outside our reasonable control, such as outages at TradingView, our AI, hosting or payment providers, or on your own connection. If such a failure lasts, section 8 still applies.
- If you use Peil for a business or profession, we are in addition not liable for lost profit, lost trades, lost data or other indirect damage.
13. Suspension and ending
- You can stop at any time: cancel as described in section 6 and email us if you want your account deleted.
- We may suspend or end an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks section 10, or where the law requires it. Unless urgent, we warn you first and give you the chance to fix it. If we end a paid plan for a reason other than your breach, we refund the period you paid for but will not get.
- If we stop offering Peil altogether, we tell you at least 30 days ahead and refund prepaid periods and unused purchased credits pro rata.
14. Complaints and disputes
Tell us what went wrong at [contact email]. You get a reply from a person within 5 working days and a solution or a clear answer within 14 days. We are not a member of a dispute committee or another out-of-court dispute resolution body. If we cannot work it out, you can go to court as described below; consumers in the EU can also ask their European Consumer Centre for help.
15. Governing law
Dutch law applies to these terms. If you are a consumer, this choice does not take away the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim before the courts of that country as well as the Dutch courts. Where your local consumer law gives you stronger rights than these terms, for example on automatic renewal or cancelling, those rights apply. If a part of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest stays in force.
